Beach Clean Up Day!

Thank you to all our supporters who braved the elements to come out and clean up Blackie's Pasture Beach on September 21st. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Nevertheless, about 20 Brave souls came out in the rain and collected a pile of trash off the beach. This was a very good way for some students to earn their community service hours. TSI always is in need of helping hands. If you would like to volunteer or earn some community service hours, please call me and we can arrange some fun work that will help you give back to our community.

Today we installed a new aquarium that will be home to rainbow trout next week. We brought the 120 gallon tank to Old Mill School today and filled it with water. We were met with colored drawings of trout that the students had made and a thank you sign. The children will work with TSI to collect items from Old Mill Creek to make the Trout feel comfortable in their new home.

In the coming week Old Mill School in Mill Valley will be the new home for a school of Rainbow Trout. The Trout will come from our Marine Center at Romberg Center for Environmental Studies. They are about 6 months old and have been fantastic guests. They eat all the food given them, they never complain, and are growing well. They are looking for a larger home as they are growing too large for their current tank. They are looking forward to their new home with all the students at Old Mill School. Come check them out!
